Who are Superior Pet Care?

An independently owned and operated business in Christchurch, New Zealand that provides a high standard of animal care and which meets the individual needs of the pets in your life.

With nineteen years experience working with a variety of species, I have developed a broad understanding of the behaviour of many different animals and what they require on a daily basis to live a fulfilling life.

My personal approach to animal care & training is force free and science-based, with the primary goal being to create a bond with each animal, based on mutual trust and respect.

Superior Services

Dog walking makes up a large part of our working day, with in-home pet care also being very popular. This provides companionship, comfort, enrichment and balance. We have different options available for dog walking and pet care but can also provide tailored pet care packages on request.

Meet and Greet

The perfect opportunity for you and your pet to meet myself, ask all the necessary questions, and for me to get to know your pet and their needs. This visit is mostly about connection & how we all fit together.

Group Dog Walks

Small and controlled, the group numbers are kept under seven dogs, which allows for a better connection between the dogs and myself. Each walk is for at least 1 hour and includes a pick-up and drop off service to, and from your home. At the end of the day you can come home and watch your dog playing with others on a video clip made during our walk.

$45 per outing

Special rates available for 3 or more walks per week.

Individual Dog Walks

For dogs that require their own ‘one on one’ time with their walker, this service includes pick-up and drop off to, and from home, walking either directly from the property or driving to a suitable location. Owners of more than one dog can add extra animals to the walk for an additional 50% charge per animal.

$30 1/2 hour walk
$45 1 hour walk

Special rates are available for 3 or more walks per week.

In home Pet Care

Not all animals are happy in care away from home, so this service allows your pet to stay in the comfort of their own space while you are away from them. A typical pet care visit consists of giving fresh food and water, cleaning pet bowls/housing/changing kitty litter, play/cuddles/enrichment, checking the security of your home, collecting mail, putting out/bringing in rubbish bins to/from the curb, and indoor plant watering. I can also give any medication if required. Everything is tailored to your pet’s needs and your own personal requirements.
